Milecastle Cottages - New for 2007
Two newly built holiday cottages adjacent to the Milecastle Inn.
With a view to Hadrian’s Wall only 500 metres from the door these two very comfortable cottages are set in the heart of England’s largest heritage site.
Minimum stay is 3 nights. First night of any stay cannot start on a Thursday or Friday.

Visitors can use the cottages as a base whilst walking the length of Hadrian’s Wall ( in stages of course) or alternatively keen cyclists can join the new Hadrian’s Wall Cycle Route which follows the wall for 174 miles and runs past the cottages.
Salmon fishing can be enjoyed along a 10 mile stretch of the River Tyne near the small market town of Haltwhistle which is famously known as the “centre of Britain” Milecastle Cottages are ideally situated for those wishing to enjoy a golfing holiday with a number of quality courses within a 20 mile radius Carlisle, Brampton, Hexham, Matfen Hall and Slaley Hall to name but a few. Interested in Horseracing? Then try your luck at Carlisle, Hexham or Newcastle which are all easily accessible. For those keen walkers there are two walking festivals lasting a week each and these are held in April and October each year for more information on this and other attractions visit www.hadrianswallcountry.org
The two cottages are very similar and consist of an entrance porch opening into the well equipped kitchen with granite effect worktop and breakfast bar. The lounge area has a leather suite with sofa bed (for +1) and has views to Hadrian’s Wall. The double bedroom and tiled bathroom complete this cottage. The cottages are tastefully decorated and furnished throughout.
Facilities include; Electrical outlets, LPG central heating, microwave, flat screen lcd TV, DVD player with selection DVDs, alarm radio/cd clock, shared laundry room with auto washing machine and tumble dryer, iron and ironing board, shared lawn terrace with garden furniture, cycle store, duvets , linen, towels supplied. No children under 12yrs. Non smokers only.
